Choosing the right buffet in Las Vegas is essential when deciding where to eat. From the most opulent to the more budget-conscious, this best buffets in Las Vegas guide can help you make your decision.

In this guide, I ranked and reviewed the 9+ best buffets in Las Vegas. You’ll also find 3 choices for all buffet types, to enable you to pick the best one.

Buffets are an awesome way to get a great meal, at a good price. They also don’t require your group to stick with a specific type of cuisine, as is the case with a typical restaurant. It’s rumored that Las Vegas has more buffets, per capita than any other city.

Buffets in Las Vegas are still the norm. Even though the past 2 years have seen several of them close.

What Are The Best Buffets In Las Vegas?

In a city where buffets and all-you-can-eat places can be found almost everywhere, choosing the best buffet in Las Vegas can be tough – there are 50+ places calling themselves a buffet or AYCE.

Let’s face it – with so many locations to choose from, there will only be a few left standing in the end, so you want to make sure you pick a winner.

Buffets in Las Vegas are unlike buffets anywhere else, as they are large and have several cuisine stations.

When choosing which are the best buffets, there are many considerations, and each buffet provides different features.

For example, your needs will be different if you have a lot of money to spend vs. being budget-conscious.

Or if you want to spend your vacation time on the Strip, rather than going Downtown or off the Strip.

Ultimately, a buffet in Las Vegas should fulfill your appetite for indulgence, and satisfy your hunger, while doing so at a price you are willing to pay.

They should also be located within the area of Las Vegas where you wish to spend time.

Why should you trust my Buffets in Las Vegas picks?

I have lived in Las Vegas for 20+ years and have written about all things Las Vegas since 2004. So, going to buffets is kind of my thing. I make sure to take a mental note of the nuances in each one.

The reviews rank on price, food quality, ambiance, hours of operation, location, customer service, and more.

I want to make this decision easier by showcasing the best buffets in Las Vegas so you can find the right one for your hard-earned dollar.

I also compare and review things like:

  • Which are the Best of the Best.
  • Are you wanting to stay on Budget?
  • Is the buffet on the Strip or off the Strip?

Here are my picks for the best buffets in Las Vegas to try this year, with their hours and prices. Please note that prices are subject to change.

3. Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Starting at $38 per person. This buffet is on the strip.

Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has taken a wicked twist on the traditional buffet. It offers a unique market dining experience unlike any other on The Las Vegas Strip.

With its mix of top quality, familiar staples, and imaginative seasonal dishes, this Las Vegas buffet satisfies cravings and invites discovery.

Here’s what makes them one of the top 3 buffets in Las Vegas.

Several of their menu options are offered in their own serving container. One of my favorites is the fried chicken that comes in a very small fryer basket, as seen in the image below. Other dishes might come in small stovetop pots.

While your plate may not seem as full, you don’t have to worry about dishing out the portions on your plate either.

Wicked Spoon
Wicked Spoon

A tip for navigating Wicked Spoon, and most buffets in Las Vegas because their lines can get very long, is to go at Breakfast time.

Whether you want a breakfast buffet or not, it will be the best time to go when it has the shortest line. Why? Because most people don’t go to a buffet for breakfast. They typically go for lunch and dinner.

If you don’t want breakfast but do want lunch, just get in line about 30 minutes before lunch starts. Not only will you get to have a little breakfast AND have lunch, but hopefully you’ll get through the line fast enough to only pay the breakfast price, and still get to enjoy lunch.

The tactic can sometimes work between lunch and dinner, but it’s a lot more difficult. Why? Because most people tend to go to a buffet for lunch and/or dinner.

4. A.Y.C.E. Buffet at the Palms Casino Resort

Starting at $24.99 per person. This buffet is off the strip.

The number 4 pick for buffets in Las Vegas doesn’t require a passport in order to enjoy a culinary trip around the world at A.Y.C.E. Buffet.

While it is spelled like All You Can Eat, the name of this buffet is pronounced: “ACE.” This seems very appropriate, given the fact that it’s in Las Vegas

Seven unique food stations are featured in the 250-seat venue. Each station is filled with mouth-watering delights. They are:

  • World Pan
  • Revival
  • The Greenery
  • The Roastery
  • The Hearth

A.Y.C.E. Buffet – Entrance

A.Y.C.E Buffet has one of THE best nights of all the buffets in Las Vegas, and that is their Lobster Night!

The caveat is that you either have to be visiting Las Vegas on a weekday or of course live in Las Vegas. Why? Because their Lobster Night only happens on Wednesdays.

But, if you can’t make it to Las Vegas mid-week, don’t worry. On Friday nights, you can get Snow Crab & Prime Rib. Also, you can hit up their Weekend Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

5. The Buffet at Bellagio

Starting at $49.99 Per Person. This buffet is on the strip.

Centrally situated next to the “O” Theatre, The Buffet at Bellagio was one of the first luxury buffets in Las Vegas. They have dishes from around the world, brought together with the freshest ingredients.

You’ll find stations that include cuisines like Chinese, Italian, American, Japanese, and more. They even have live-action cooking stations. Which, at a buffet, it’s a plus to be able to actually see how they are cooking your food. Rather than just bringing it from the back.

If you’re a fan of seafood, you’ll love their selection of Smoked Salmon, Hong Kong BBQ Buns, Alaskan King Crab, Scallop Ceviche, Shrimp Shu Mai, and Poached Shrimp.

If you’re more into the land meats, head over to the Carving Station to have Rotisserie Chicken, Marinated Flank Steak, and St. Louis Style Ribs,

One of the highlights of The Buffet at Bellagio is its desserts. For the dessert fanatics, you’ll love how fresh their pastries are. And, who would argue against having a personalized gelato stand?

The Buffet at Bellagio
The Buffet at Bellagio

Personally, I had gone to the Bellagio on Thanksgiving for years. As they were the only buffet in Las Vegas, in my opinion, that could actually compete against having your family’s food during the holidays. The spread is AMAZING.

They virtually have every dish you would crave during Thanksgiving. My personal favorite is the turkey legs. Yes, I said turkey legs. You didn’t just have the option to choose from a tray full of turkey or hand-carved turkey. No, you could actually take full turkey legs back to your table.

I’m a pretty detail-oriented person. That’s why having the turkey legs stood out to me. It showed me that The Buffet at Bellagio remembers even the minute detail to make sure you have a great experience.

Walking Directions to the Buffet

6. Market Place Buffet at Rampart Casino

Starting at $24.99 per person (With a Loyalty Card). This buffet is off the strip.

The 12,000 square-foot Market Place Buffet at the Rampart Casino in Summerlin, proudly claims that it is the only buffet in Northwest Las Vegas, featuring Draft Beers and Wine, Culinary Action Stations, and Patio Dining.

I’ve been to the Market Place Buffet and will attest that it’s a pretty accurate statement. Back in 2019, the buffet was remodeled. Now there is room for 700 people.

One of the best things about Market Palace is that they offer al fresco dining on their patio, which you don’t see very often at buffets in Las Vegas.

I would imagine buffets don’t offer al fresco dining because of the weather. While mid-March through mid-May and mid-September through mid-November is very nice in Vegas, our Summers and Winters aren’t very well suited for al fresco dining.

Market Place Buffet

Market Place has two buffet specialty nights. The first specialty night is Aloha Night, which is on Saturday, from 4 pm to 8 pm. If you’re a fan of Hawaiian food, this would be the night to go. The price is $29.99 or $24.99 with your loyalty card. Kids, 12 years old and under, are $12.99.

The second specialty night is New York Deli Night, Mondays from 4 pm to 8 pm. If you’re a fan of deli meats and cheeses, as well as black and white cookies, this would be the night to go. The price is $25.99 or $20.99 with your loyalty card. Kids, 12 years old and under, are $12.99.

Bottomless Mimosas are a highlight of their menu on Saturday and Sunday which also features Prime Rib, made-to-order omelets, Eggs Benedict, fluffy pancakes, French Toast, and iron fresh Waffles.

The Garden Buffet Las Vegas at South Point Casino is a more budget-conscious buffet. While it may not be considered the best of the best like Bacchanal, their food definitely hits the spot, while not shrinking your wallet.

8. Garden Court at Main Street Station Casino

Starting at $20.99 per person. This buffet is off the strip.

One of the best buffets in Las Vegas deals you can get is in downtown Las Vegas at the Garden Court at Main Street Station. It has been long known for its good deal and people are excited that it has reopened.

Given that it is downtown, many are surprised by how large the food selection is and how affordable the prices are. Even better is if you show your B Connected+ card, you’ll receive $1 off.

The Garden Court is very reminiscent of a 1920s train stain. It’s very spacious and has a very distinctive, ornate, Victorian decor.

Quality is standard, but again, good for the price. You’ll find islands with Mexican and Southwestern, Asian, pizza, made-to-order pasta, and make-your-own tacos. The barbecued brisket is very well-loved. The buffet takes pride in its rotisserie chicken as well.

Mondays and Wednesdays feature Hawaiian offerings like oxtail stew, Kalua pig, and Portuguese sausage. You’ll find that most buffets have at least one choice for the Hawaiian crowd.

Breakfast gets the raves for the omelet station. Don’t forget their huge dessert section too.

9. Fresh Buffet at Westgate Las Vegas

Starting at $19.99 per person. This buffet is off the strip.

Fresh Buffet at Westgate Las Vegas Resort has a large assortment of buffet selections. You’ll even find flavors from around the world.

They have several Chinese dishes and fresh seafood specialties. You’ll find something for everyone at Fresh Buffet.

This is one of the buffets in Las Vegas that is actually great for those that are in town for a convention, especially if it’s at the Las Vegas Convention Center, as Westgate is right next door.

Fresh Buffet
Fresh Buffet

If you like to take the monorail, Westgate Las Vegas is one of the monorail’s seven stops. The other six stops include MGM Grand, Bally’s Las Vegas, Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Conventions Center, as well as the Sahara Las Vegas.

The Fresh Buffet is a decent buffet, that is off the strip but still close to the Strip. If you’re staying at the Westgate and want to save money, you might check to see if they still offer $10 off their buffet if you decide to decline maid service. It’s worth a shot to ask. Of course, you have to feel that saving $10 is worth having a messy room.

According to their website, you can also save $3 if you have their WOW Rewards Card. I would guess you can’t combine the $3 off with the card, in conjunction with the $10 off for declining maid service. But again, just ask.

Hours of operation (daily – Please call, they open & close based on demand):

  • Breakfast is from 7 am to 11 am

_____

10. MGM Grand Buffet

Starting at $27.99 per person. This buffet is on the strip.

While some buffets tend to stumble a bit over the years, for as big as MGM Grand is, having 5,000 hotel rooms, it still gets decent reviews.

This is one of the buffets in Las Vegas that is still only open for Breakfast and Lunch. Their breakfast has healthy options like fruit compotes and yogurts, as well as indulgent options like smoked salmon, made-to-order omelets, and honey-baked ham.

Unfortunately, the buffet is still closed for dinner, because of the pandemic. Hopefully, it’ll be back soon. Their dinner used to be pretty decent, having Alaskan Crab Legs, Roast Prime Rib, and Grilled Marinated Beef Kabobs.

Tips for getting the most out of your buffet experience.

  1. The number one tip for buffets in Las Vegas is to go for the most expensive items first. You don’t want to fill up on side dishes. Then you’ll have to pass up the steak, seafood, and prime rib because you’re way too full. That’s not a very good use of your hard-earned money.
  2. I know it’s tempting, but when it comes to beverages, try to just stick with water. Yes, I know, the sodas (or pop) and mimosas at buffets in Las Vegas can be tempting, but they are filling. Especially the sodas, because they are carbonated. That extra fizz is fine to drink during other meals, but not at a buffet.
  3. Remember, you ARE allowed to go back for seconds, thirds, fourths, etc. There’s no need to pile your plate with only a couple of items. Unless of course, those item happens to be lobster and/or crab legs. But with everything else, just take small portions. If you like what you taste, go back for more.
  4. For your last buffets in Las Vegas tip, I’ll give you the advice I give myself when I know I’m going to a buffet that day. I plan my eating schedule around the buffet being the ONLY thing that I eat for the day. While for some, that may sound impossible, I always do it. If I eat at all, it’s a super small snack a couple of hours before the buffet. Just so I don’t get too hangry.

Frequently Asked Questions About Buffets in Las Vegas

Are buffets in Las Vegas open yet?

Thankfully, buffets in Las Vegas are making a comeback. Several of the over 40 buffets that temporarily closed, due to COVID restrictions, have slowly started to reopen.

How much do Las Vegas buffets cost?

The range varies, depending on whether you’re going to a buffet on the strip, or off the strip. But in general, you can find prices from as low as $13 to as high as $65, per person.

Is Rio Las Vegas buffet open?

This has to be one of the most frequent questions that I get. Rio Las Vegas had always been known for its buffets because they had two. One buffet had all kinds of food, while the other buffet was all seafood. Unfortunately, both buffets are closed now. The seafood buffet was always one of my favorites.
